Many of the crafters whose products can be seen at the monthly Arts in the Park Market have signed up as vendors on the Cape Trade Market – so if you like what you see online, and would like to touch, feel, measure the items, then take a trip to Rolandale Padstal, just off the N2 at Bufffeljagsrivier (close to Swellendam).
Beautifully situated, with the backdrop of the Langeberg Mountains, Rolandale is worth a visit any day – good wholesome food in the spacious dining area, both inside and outside, with plenty of space for dogs to run, and kids to play. It’s fully licensed as well, so a glass of craft beer or chilled white wine is a plus, while you contemplate your purchases,
The market started in 2016 and was initially intended to be solely for arts and crafts, but it has grown into a market which sells unique, handmade products, such as handmade wooden toys, bird feeders, body creams, soaps and lotions, jewellery and beading, modern Africa fashion, coffee beans roasted and blended in Swellendam and so much more.
